Charlotte King

Trainee Solicitor

Charlotte is currently a Trainee Solicitor at JMW. Prior to starting her training contract, Charlotte worked as a paralegal within the firm’s Personal Injury department.

For the last 18 months, Charlotte has been part of the Travel Litigation team within the department; within this role she specialised in cases involving incidents of food poisoning whilst on holiday. Charlotte also assisted other fee earners within the team, acting for claimants involved in other types of accidents whilst abroad including those occurring in hotels, on aeroplanes and boats.

Charlotte completed the LPC with Distinction at the University of Law in Chester in 2014, and prior to this graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 with a joint Honours degree in Law LLB with Business Studies.

Charlotte is involved with the wider legal community, and currently holds the position of Ball Director on the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group committee. As well as this, Charlotte enjoys attending various other networking events held across Manchester, such as those held by JCI, the Manchester Young Solicitors Group and the Manchester Young Professionals.

She is committed to raising money for charity; in the past year she has held a black tie charity ball, ran the Manchester 10K and completed the 3 Peak Challenge to raise money for a number of different charities. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the countryside with her two pet dogs.
