Inside JMW: Clients Share Their Stories

It's easy for us to talk about all the great work we do for our clients, but it's nice when our clients help to tell our story.

We've just launched a new corporate video (which you can also find on our about us page) that shows how our work makes a difference to people's lives - whether it's by helping a business, a family or an individual in need.

In the video we hear from Lisa Tse MBE, CEO of Manchester-based Chinese restaurant Sweet Mandarin and SM Sauces. Lisa, with her identical twin sister Helen (who also has an MBE for services to food and drink, won Gordon Ramsay's F Word and later gained investment in SM Sauces from entrepreneur Hilary Devey on Dragon's Den.

We have regularly advised the pair on different aspects of their businesses. Lisa tells us how having JMW as a partner has helped to take weight off the company's shoulders - particularly important in the "minefield" of business. It's also nice for her to note how we avoid legal jargon to make things as easy as possible to understand.

Next we hear from Harry Yearsley, managing director of Yearsley Logistics, the UK's largest logistics service provider in the frozen food sector, which also supplies a full range of innovative frozen products. The firm works with our commercial litigation team and Harry is pleased with how smoothly potentially complicated transactions - such as land purchases - have gone since we've been involved.

Finally, Angela Wilson, who has a son - Tom - with cerebral palsy, caused by the negligence of hospital staff when he was born, tells us how our clinical negligence team refused to give up on the family and helped the family win their case.
