Practice Notes
Roy joined JMW in February 2008 as a Partner and Head of Intellectual Property and is based in the Manchester office. Roy joined JMW from Walker Morris having previously trained at and practiced in the London office of global law firm Baker & McKenzie.
Roy's areas of practice covers all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property law having acted for many of the world's best known brands in relation to both domestic and international disputes.
A particular focus of Roy's work is anti-counterfeiting in relation to which Roy has many years of experience in advising brands in relation to protecting themselves against those whom would seek to trade off their reputation.
Chambers and Partners 2009 Edition, an independent guide to the UK legal profession, say that Roy's clients ‘...admire his loyalty and speed'.
