Bilal joined JMW in December 2023 as a Partner in the Commercial Litigation Team. Bilal's core area is Insurance litigation having practiced insurance and commercial litigation for some 25 years. His practice area covers catastrophic and complex high value complex disputes to include catastrophic injury, financial losses, financial services, insurance policy disputes, policy wording, London Market, acting for Insurers, Reinsurers, brokers, corporates, HNWI and policy holders. He has experience of group actions and has also advised organisations on insurance management, risk and policy wording.

He is an industry recognised leading sports insurance lawyer having advised Insurers, Brokers and policy holder Individual professional sports athletes, race drivers, intermediaries, as well as sport’s National Governing Bodies, sports clubs, and teams across Football, Rugby, Golf, Bloodstock and Motorsport in which he has a particular interest. A lead lawyer on concussion in sports, he has good relations with a numbers of sports governing bodies.

His experience covers civil litigation, Insurance Litigation, Policy Disputes, Arbitration to include ARIAS Arbitration, Mediation and Regulatory advice. Bilal has cross boarder experience of investigations and Arbitration having had a number of disputes across the Channel Islands, Europe, the Middle East and Cambodia.
