Li Ann joined JMW in October 2022 as a solicitor in the Corporate department.
Li Ann graduated from University College London (UCL) in 2018 with a law degree. She went on to do the Bar Professional Training Course with a Master of Laws at City, University of London, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of Middle Temple in 2019. Li Ann then returned to her home country of Malaysia to complete a pupillage/training contract in the corporate department of a large Malaysian law firm where she assisted on various IPOs as well as other corporate and capital markets transactions. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Courts in Malaya in 2020.
In September 2020, Li Ann returned to London to train with a City law firm where she gained experience in various practice areas including Corporate & Commercial, Employment, Family, Disputes and Commercial & Residential Property. She completed her LPC part-time during her training contract with a Distinction and qualified as a solicitor in September 2022.
Outside of work, Li Ann has a passion for dance and does ballet, contemporary and jazz.
