William joined JMW in March 2022 as an Associate Solicitor in the Court of Protection Department.
Experience:
William has experience in a wide range of Court of Protection matters including:
- Deputyships and Personal Injury Trust cases
- Statutory Wills and Gift applications to the Court of Protection
- Replacing incapacitated property trustees
- William has particular experience in overseeing complex cases involving employment issues, contested welfare proceedings, and high-value property adaptions.
Background:
William graduated from the University of Manchester in 2014 with a degree in Economics before undertaking a post-graduate law conversion and LPC at the University of Law obtaining a Distinction in both courses.
Before joining JMW, William trained with a top 50 law firm with a national presence before qualifying in September 2020.
Interests:
Outside of work, William co-chairs a large Manchester-based charitable foodbank. William is involved with several exciting projects including working with local schools, promoting Healthy Start vouchers for new mothers and running a project with a community arts organisation to give people a voice about experiencing food poverty.
