JMW Advise Wahu Food

The commercial property team at full service law firm JMW Solicitors LLP has advised food concept start up Wahu on the lease of its new premises in Spinningfields.

Thomas Pearson, a Partner in Commercial Property, led the team from JMW who advised Wahu owner, Jamie Barr, on the lease of the former Eat unit in Spinningfields, from Allied London. JMW also work with Jamie on his other project, Next Generation Networking, networking events sponsored by JMW.

Due to open in June 2014, Wahu will offer ‘design your own’ meals that are fresh, satisfying and full of flavour, with the option for customers to dine in or take out.
The commercial property team at JMW has recently seen a substantial increase in lettings in a variety of sectors locally especially within leisure and offices in particular.

Commenting on the deal, Commercial Property Partner, Thomas Pearson said:
“We are delighted to be advising Jamie Barr on his new venture. It is exciting to be involved with an up-and-coming and innovative food concept to be based in Spinningfields. I think we are all looking forward to having a new food outlet based near our office in Spinningfields and get a chance to taste the food.”
Jamie Barr, Owner of Wahu said:
“Wahu is the first of its kind in Manchester and the whole team is extremely grateful to Thomas and the commercial property team at JMW for helping to bring the concept into a reality.  The site in Spinningfields is the perfect location for the restaurant and we are very excited about welcoming customers who live and work in the area to our new venue in the coming months.”
