JMW Clinical Negligence Newsletter Winter 2011/12:
A successful season for the JMW Clinical Negligence department
With the end of winter almost in sight, it’s time to update you on news from the JMW Clinical Negligence department.
I’m pleased to report that there has been no cause for post-Christmas doom and gloom in the department, as we have enjoyed a successful few months. I hope the attached newsletter gives you a flavour of our team’s triumphs.
In November we were very proud to claim a prestigious national award, strengthening our reputation as leaders in our field further. We were successful in the Claimant Personal Injury Team of the Year category, together with our Personal Injury department.
While it is our clients who are at the forefront of our minds, gaining recognition for the work that we do is always rewarding. The judging panel was particularly impressed by our client initiatives, our dedication to the welfare and development of staff and our contribution to the legal community.
Meanwhile we settled several cases for the families of children who suffered brain damage due to errors made at their birth, ensuring that their future care needs are taken care of. At a time when the government is trying to remove clinical negligence from the scope of legal aid these cases highlight the need for it to remain, ensuring all injured people have access to justice.
