Kimberley Peet is a senior associate in the Clinical Negligence Department.

Kimberley works on a wide range of complex and high-value cases including brain and spinal injuries. She has also handled many cases arising from poor maternity care, surgical errors, fatal claims, delays in the diagnosis of cancer, orthopaedic injuries and ophthalmic claims, helping patients and families to find answers and secure compensation. Her settlements include:

  • £1.2 million obtained for the family of a woman who died due to delays in diagnosing cervical cancer
  • £485,000 secured for a client who lost vision due to failures in care
  • £175,000 obtained in a case involving delayed diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome

Inquest representation is another area of expertise for Kimberley, and she has great experience of providing support and advice to families going through the process.

In 2023 Kimberley was made an ambassador for the sight loss charity Henshaws due to her support for the charity and commitment to helping to raise awareness of issues affecting people with visual impairments.

Before joining JMW, Kimberley worked as a paralegal in the clinical negligence team at former Manchester law firm Pannone. She joined JMW’s clinical negligence department in January 2013 and completed her training contract with the firm before qualifying as a solicitor in 2017.

Kimberley completed her law degree at the University of Sheffield and graduated in 2011. She went on to study her legal practice course at the College of Law, Manchester in 2012.

In her spare time Kimberley enjoys reading and exploring the countryside with her dogs.
