JMW is a forward looking North West law firm based in Manchester. In June 2006 we located to prestigious offices at No 1 Byrom Place, in the heart of Manchester's new commercial district, Spinningfields. The state of the art offices provide the firm with 30,000 sq. ft of office space and will enable the firm to achieve its ambitious expansion plans to become one of the region's premier law firms.
The deadline for making an application for our graduate intake in September 2011 has now passed. Thank you to the hundreds of applicants who have expressed their interest in joining us, and at the moment we are processing these applications to select our next trainees. Please watch this space for an announcement as to the recruitment process that will follow for our next intake in 2012.
We shall be looking for individuals with a strong academic record (a minimum of 2:1 degree level), excellent interpersonal and team working skills, drive and enthusiasm. We believe in recruiting the right people to help drive our business forward, which means that we are interested in you as an individual.
You will receive high quality training in at least 3 of our departments, working in both contentious and non contentious areas. We believe in giving our trainees very hands on experience, developing your legal skills and also ensuring that you learn to work effectively in a commercial environment.
JMW takes its training commitments very seriously and is proud of the fact that a number of our existing partners joined the firm as trainees.
Your starting salary will be competitive. The starting salary for a first year trainee in September 2008 was £19,500 per annum and the salary will be reviewed annually.
