Dominic qualified into the Commercial Litigation team in 2019 after completing his training contract with the firm. Dominic specialises in media, reputation management, data privacy matters and sport.

Dominic has developed a specialism advising individuals who have been a victim of scams and cyber-crime such as Sim Swap and ID Fraud. He has also advised on a variety of data breach cases and for clients who have had their data rights infringed such as a delayed response to a subject access request.

While he was training with the firm Dominic assisted on a matter relating to an international athlete who wanted to end an agreement with a major sports manufacturer and an international athlete who wanted to have his image removed from a website. The athlete had a successful outcome when data law was used to have the image removed.

Dominic is a former political adviser at the House of Commons, having worked for a Member of Parliament on the Defamation Bill Committee (later The Defamation Act 2013).

In this role, he was tasked with consulting key media and legal stakeholders along with pressure groups to ensure that, through his MP, a plurality of viewpoints were set before the bill committee.

He is a former media professional, having started at the BBC before moving into the commercial radio sector. It was this experience that initially brought him to the House of Commons role, which started when he was recruited as Press Secretary to the MP he later advised on defamation.

In the role as Press Secretary, Dominic looked after media relations for a series of high profile events. He was personally thanked by Rt. Hon. David Cameron for assisting him at a ‘town hall’ style question and answer event in Lancashire.

Dominic graduated from Edge Hill University Law School having completed a First Class Dissertation on s.4 of the Defamation Act 2013.

He was awarded Sports Law Student of the Year from the Centre for Sports Law Research. In 2016 he received the Freedom of the City of London.

Dominic enjoys rugby and was previously a truly awful player for the Houses of Parliament team ‘The Political Animals’.

His interest in sports also extends to working as the pitch-side stadium announcer for Burnley Football Club, executive lounge host for Liverpool Football Club and Manchester United. Dominic also hosts international games and major events for the Rugby Football League and Super League.

Dominic is the voice of the stadiums for a major games developer.

Dominic remains active in Politics and has recently advised a Member of the House of Lords on policy relating to community radio broadcasting and OFCOM regulation of broadcast media.
