Getting to know.. Sebastian Bray

18th December 2015

Welcome to JMW Sebastian, let's ask you a few questions to get to know you.

What are the best and worst things about working in Law?

Best - The sense of achievement you get (in debt recovery at least!) when a Defendant/Client pays the money they owe in full.

Worst - The administration side of the County Court system. Definitely needs a shake up. Particularly in London where they need to answer the telephone more often!

If you didn't work in Law what would you do?

I'd probably work in the travel industry. I love everything about travelling and going on holiday to new places and the planning that's involved too.

Who inspires you? (personally or professionally)

My Grandfather. He led a long and successful life and he always taught me to never give up because it would eventually lead to success.

Where's your favourite place in Manchester?

Spinningfields (of course!) as it has brilliant restaurants and bars. My favourites being; The Alchemist, Artisan, Fazenda and Southern 11 but not forgetting Australasia.

What's your favourite film?

The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger plays his part brilliantly. I never get bored of it.

What was the first album you bought?

Honestly can't remember but it's likely to be something extremely embarrassing.

What one item would you take with you to a desert island?

A fully charged satellite phone. Although I love travelling to far flung places, I'd still need something to do as I'd get bored easily.

Country pub or city bar?

After spending my childhood and teenage years in the countryside, country pub. Every time.

Would you rather have more time or more money?

More money...

Question from Alys Cooney: Who would play you in a film of your life?

Simon Bird (Will McKenzie from The Inbetweeners).

What question would you ask the next person undertaking this Q&A?

If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?
