Holly’s work includes advising on professional negligence disputes, claims arising out of company insolvency and bankruptcy, breach of directors’ duties and urgent applications for injunctive relief.

She plays a key role in assisting with large, complex pieces of litigation which include defending a claim for £20 million in the Companies Court, a claim for £1.2 million for breach of contract or unjust enrichment was successfully litigated in the Court of Appeal and which proceeded to the Supreme Court, and assisting insolvency practitioners with the recovery of £9 million owed to customers of a failed foreign exchange company.

Holly’s practice also includes advising business clients in relation to claims for undisclosed commissions paid by energy suppliers to energy brokers for the referral of business, at the expense of the customer. She is currently working closely with Sacha Lord, the Night Time Economy Adviser for Greater Manchester, in pursuing hidden commission claims on behalf of certain members of the hospitality industry and the wider business community.

Holly spent the earlier part of her legal career acting for the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in bringing disqualification proceedings against company directors, as well as winding up companies in the public interest.

After spending six years working as a radio broadcast journalist and presenter, Holly completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2009 and then the LPC in 2010, subsequently achieving a qualifying first class law degree at Nottingham Law School.
