Rebecca joined JMW as a Senior Associate in July 2019. Rebecca is a Partner in our Commercial Litigation team, specialising in a wide range of commercial litigation matters.
Rebecca frequently advises clients in complex, high value disputes that may involve a consideration of a range of legal issues during the lifetime of a case.
Rebecca advises a broad spectrum of clients; ranging from individuals, owner managed businesses to large corporate PLCs and charities, on a wide range of legal issues including:
- Defamation (libel and slander)
- Misuse of private information
- Breach of confidence
- Data Protection
- Reputation management including preventing and handling hostile media coverage
- Injunctive relief
- Franchising disputes
- Intellectual property disputes
- Advertising law
- Corporate disputes including shareholder disputes or LLP disputes

Rebecca graduated from Leeds University in 2007 and completed the LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009. She trained and qualified at Pannone LLP in 2011.
Rebecca won “Young Lawyer of the Year” award at the North West Insider’s 2019 Young Professionals Awards.
Rebecca holds the North West chair for EWIF (encouraging women in franchising).
Rebecca is also an ambassador for Women in the Law UK, included in the Northern Power Women’s Future List 2018 and an ambassador for Forever Manchester.
Rebecca is included in the Legal 500 “Rising Stars” and described as:
