Monika joined JMW in September 2015 as a trainee solicitor. She qualified into the corporate department in September 2017.
Monika has experience in dealing with a wide range of corporate law issues including acquisitions and disposals of company assets and shares, constitutional and corporate governance matters such as drafting shareholders agreements and articles of association, joint ventures, private equity and investment structures, share option schemes (including EMI schemes), re-structuring, financing and re-financing, and shareholder and directors disputes.
Monika studied law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth where she graduated in 2010 with a First Class Honours degree. Monika then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Manchester in 2013.
Prior to joining JMW, Monika worked as a paralegal specialising in civil litigation. During her training contact with JMW she gained experience in the employment, commercial property and corporate/ commercial departments.
In her spare time Monika likes learning new languages, reading (especially Stephen King books) and visiting her family and friends in Poland. She also enjoys keeping fit by running and going to the gym.
