JMW’s epic challenge for At Home Superheroes

I am delighted that the JMW clinical negligence team is Cerebral Palsy Sport’s official fundraising partner for this year’s At Home Superheroes event, part of the Marvel Superheroes Series of sporting challenges.

At Home Superheroes allows people with disabilities and their sidekicks to find their power through their own individual challenge, while also raising money for a charity close to their hearts. It’s a month long event running from 17 July to 14 August and participants will don their favourite superhero costume to make the most of the action.

Our 12 strong team of walkers, runners and cyclists includes 11 members of the JMW clinical negligence department plus our client Naomi Closs-Parry, who lives with movement disorder cerebral palsy, and her mum Dee. Joining me from JMW are Steven Brown, Jodie Miller, Kelly Hindle, Liz Davies, Claire Boardman, Rebecca Cahill, Kathryn Ferrari, Hannah Madkour, Katy Coleman and Jessica Bonnick.

We have chosen to raise money for the charity Cerebral Palsy Sport by covering 500 kilometres between us and are hoping to raise £2,000 in sponsorship. As we specialise in working on behalf of people who have cerebral palsy and are organisational members of CP Sport, we firmly believe in the work it does to bring sport into the lives of people living with cerebral palsy.

CP Sport says the money raised will “help more people with cerebral palsy return to play safely and confidently” and “create opportunities through our partnership work, which will provide more local support for people with cerebral palsy to take part in sport and physical activity, and break down barriers to taking part”.

Keep an eye out on social media for our progress reports and see if you can spot your favourite superhero in our team.

You can also support our team by making a donation here.
