How I’m really feeling: according to parents of a child who has cerebral palsy

Last year we conducted a survey to find out about the public’s misconceptions of cerebral palsy. We also asked parents about their experience of what it is like to bring up a child who has the condition.

Below are their honest and candid responses.

1. The public’s misinterpretation of behaviour can hurt

2. Being treated normally is all parents want

3. The lack of knowledge and awareness can be exhausting
