Rebecca is an Associate in the Medical Negligence Department.

Rebecca brings a wealth of experience and has specialised solely in medical negligence claims since the start of her legal career.

She has a busy caseload and works with a variety of clients who have suffered avoidable harm as a result of failures in the NHS and private health sector. Rebecca’s current case load includes claims concerning spinal injuries, avoidable amputations, stillbirths, cancer misdiagnosis, vision loss and orthopaedic injuries.

Rebecca has secured many compensation settlements on behalf of her clients, some of which include: -

·         £1 million for the husband of a young woman who died as a result of a delay in diagnosing cervical cancer.

·         £100,000 for a lady who experienced a delay in diagnosing her cauda equina syndrome.

·         £510,000 for a young boy who experienced a delay in diagnosing a slipped upper femoral epiphysis (SUFE).

·         £225,000 for a man whose patella tendon rupture went undiagnosed for approximately one month.

·         £170,000 for a woman who suffered appalling injuries due to negligent breast cancer surgery.

·         £90,000 for the widow of a woman who died as a result of failing to manage her electrolyte levels during a hospital admission.

Rebecca also has vast experiencing investigating fatal claims and has successfully concluded a number of claims arising from the death of a loved one for bereaved families.  She offers inquest representation to support families going though this process.

Having joined the JMW medical negligence department in 2016 as a paralegal, Rebecca qualified as a solicitor within the team in March 2018.

She graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA honours degree in Law and Criminology, Rebecca then went on to study at the College of Law in Chester and completed her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course, for which she gained a distinction. Whist studying, Rebecca volunteered as a Special Constable for Merseyside Police.

Much of her spare time is spent enjoying days out with her two-year-old daughter and long walks with her dog, Peggi. When she does have some time, she enjoys horse riding, gardening, and cooking new recipes for friends.​
