Leading full-service law firm JMW Solicitors LLP has announced that Ruben Sinha has joined the firm as a Partner in the Family Law team in Manchester.

Ruben joins JMW from Miles Preston, a boutique family law firm in London, where he was on a consultancy acting for Sir Frederick Barclay in his widely publicised divorce from Lady Barclay. The case involves ongoing enforcement proceedings in respect of a £100 million court award and is one of the largest and most complex to have come before the English courts. Prior to that he spent time at Withers in Hong Kong and then BCLP in both their London and Hong Kong teams.

He specialises in all areas of family law with a focus on advising high and ultra-high net worth clients in complex cases and financial proceedings involving trusts, businesses, family wealth and international issues. He regularly works with private banks, professional trustees and family offices in relation to asset protection including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and structuring to ensure wealth is preserved in the event of a divorce or family dispute. His clients include successful entrepreneurs, high-profile business owners and sports personalities across Manchester and the North, London and internationally.

Ruben, along with Michael Rowlands and David Thompson from JMW’s London Office, have all just been ranked as recommended lawyers in the 2022 Spear’s Family Lawyers Index which showcases the leading lawyers advising high and ultra-high net worth clients in the UK and beyond.

Ruben is also currently ranked in the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide 2021 which states: "He excels in complex international cross-border situations, from broader family situations to more specific divorce matters.
