Naomi O'Rourke

Personal Injury

Naomi is a Paralegal in JMW’s renowned Personal Injury team. Naomi works closely with fee earners within the Personal Injury team with a particular focus on holiday claims. She is responsible for preparing and drafting key legal documents as cases progress and would consider her strengths to be her organisation and time management skills.

Naomi joined the team in September 2015 shortly after graduating from the University of Sheffield in July 2015. Naomi was awarded a degree in Law with First Class Honours and received the Vaughan Bevan Memorial Prize, a prize awarded annually for performance in final examinations within the School of Law. Naomi is currently studying for a Masters at the University of Manchester in Healthcare Law and Ethics which is an area of particular interest.

In her spare time Naomi loves to go on holiday and going out for meals. She likes to keep active by playing in the JMW netball team and taking on new challenges. She completed her first half-marathon in 2014 and in 2016 embarked on the Three Peaks Challenge with other JMW colleagues. She also enjoys walking her dog Ruby after a day at work!

Why did you join JMW?

I first heard about JMW whilst at University as I researched firms that provide services within the areas of law I found myself most interested in, it became clear to me that JMW is a thriving firm within the North West. When my twin sister joined the firm in 2014, my interest in JMW grew, it sounded like a firm that was continuously growing yet managed to maintain a friendly and personal environment that rewarded hard work and commitment. I wanted to begin my legal career after finishing university and JMW was a firm I was keen to be a part of. Since joining the firm, its positive reputation and welcoming environment have certainly been confirmed and I am excited to see what my future at JMW holds!

This would have to be my group of friends from school as we are now all over the country so when we get together we don’t stop talking and laughing. Although I would change the pint to a glass of prosecco!
