We have a new vacancy for an Administration Assistant to join the Real Estate Commercial department in our Manchester office.
This role will involve providing administrative support to Real Estate Commercial’s fee earners in order to enable them to process a caseload of property transactions (sale and purchase, and landlord and tenant etc), as well ensuring the successful development of both the department and the firm.
The key responsibilities and duties of this role will include:
- Ordering conveyancing searches and Land Registry title documentation
- Document production and circulation
- Billing and general accounts administration (such as chasing clients for payment)
- Opening new files and inputting new instructions
- Updating the Case Management system in accordance with team procedures as matters progress
- Scanning/filing, binding, photocopying and archiving/closing files
- Dealing/assisting with post completion matters such as Land Registry registrations/requisitions/Companies House searches
- Assisting with the development of the department
- Dealing with post both electronic and physical, allocating to the case management system
Person specification:
Whilst experience of working within conveyancing and or a law firm is preferred, it is not essential, and training will be provided as necessary. However, a proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) is essential.
