Crown Prosecution Service statistics show prosecutions for domestic abuse static.

Statistics released by the Crown Prosecution Service show that the number of completed prosecutions for domestic abuse during the period July to September 2023 remained largely static as compared against the previous quarter. The figure reduced by 0.8% from 12,832 in April – June to 12,731. The conviction rate also remained static at 76%.

The charity, Women’s Aid have highlighted that there is urgent action needed to improve women’s trust in the criminal justice system.
