This month, the Court has updated its Vulnerability Action Plan. The plan sets out strategies that will be in place to help support vulnerable individuals accessing the court and tribunal services.

The initiatives are wide ranging and include the expansion of Video hearings, improving physical accessibility to court buildings and the introduction of "Case Flags" which will notify court stage if something specific is required in a case such as special measures.

In addition to the Vulnerability Action Plan, the Ministry of Justice has also commissioned a study that will explore the challenges for vulnerable adults using the legal system and what support would have helped them access justice.
