This is second time round for Paul, having first joined JMW in 2006. He established an Industrial Disease Department, with a focus on clients suffering from asbestos related diseases. At the outset, Paul and the team were involved in campaigning and fundraising for charities, including lobbying MPs in Westminster for fair treatment for asbestos victims. He went on to establish JMW as a major asbestos disease law firm, representing Claimants only.

  • Over 25 years’ experience in the asbestos litigation arena.
  • Expert knowledge of cases for Claimants with mesothelioma, asbestos related lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening.
  • Has brought proceedings in the UK Court of Appeal, High Court and the New South Wales Dust Diseases Tribunal.
  • Studied law at University in Australia in the 1990s. Paul was admitted as a Solicitor there in 1999, transferred to England and Wales in 2003.

Paul worked on his first Mesothelioma case in 1990. Thus started a passion for asbestos victims which remains undimmed. He was employed by Irwin Mitchell as an Associate Solicitor from 2002 to 2006. In 2009, Paul left JMW to establish Webbers, a law firm designed exclusively for sufferers of asbestos related diseases. He re-joins JMW, at our London office, taking up the position of Partner.

In his spare time, Paul follows the fluctuating fortunes of Harlequin Rugby and Queen’s Park Rangers FC. He recently returned to the academic world and completed a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law, Politics & Theory at the University of London.
