Getting to know.. Claire Boardman23rd October 2015
We asked the newest member of the Clinical Negligence team a few questions, beyond her role as a solicitor. So Claire..
How did you first start working in Law?
I just decided after my degree in ancient history to do the GDL, I like reading and writing and organising and analysing so thought it would suit me!!
What is your favourite thing about working in Law?
Client contact and obtaining settlements which will improve their lives after being seriously let down by medical professionals they trusted. It's nice to feel like you have helped make their lives better.
If you didn't work in Law what would you do?
Own a tea rooms and bake lots of cake!
What's the one thing you can't live without?
If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?
Invisibility; I am nosey and would love to be able to find out all the gossip!
What nicknames do you have?
Bear as in Claire bear embarrassing I know, and Boardface instead of Boardman my surname.. not sure why I don't think I have a bored face!!!
What was the last book you read?
I am Pilgrim

Question from Holly Clayton-Smith: What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you at work?
Running late for a conference, crashing my car on route and then showing up at chambers with the client and counsel absolutely soaking wet having run through the rain as I couldn't find any car parking spaces nearby! Not my finest moment... Funnily enough all happened on Fri 13th! Unlucky!
