Getting to know.. Jo-anna Jellings

9th September 2014

We asked our new family solicitor, a few questions to get to know her a little better beyond the legal..

So Jo-Anna...

How did you first start working in Law?

I've been interested in the law since a young age, particularly family law as my Grandfather was a Guardian. I studied Law at college and went on to study Law at university. I completed my LPC and started as a paralegal the week after. Shortly after that, I gained a training contract and progressed to qualify.

What is your favourite thing about working in Law?

The variety of work and a wide variety of different clients on any given day.

If you didn't work in Law what would you do?

I'd like to be on the stage in a musical.

What's the one thing you can't live without?

My IPhone. If there is a day where I accidentally leave it at home, it feels as though my arm has been chopped off.

Who inspires you? (personally or professionally)

Martin Luther King

If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?

What nicknames do you have?

JJ & Keano Kid

What was the last book you read?

Michael Connelly The Black Box

If you hosted a dinner party, what three people (dead or alive) would you invite?

1. Denzel Washington

2. Karl Pilkington

3. Princess Diana

Previous participant Rickard Parkinson asked: what is your guilty pleasure in entertainment?

Any trashy semi-reality based show. Think TOWIE, Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea and I'm ashamed to say The Valleys.

What question would you ask the next person undertaking this Q&A?

What is an interesting fact about you that not many people know?
