Getting to know.. Lizzie McPeake29th April 2016
We asked the new Business Crime paralegal, Lizzie McPeake, a few questions to get to know her beyond a role here at JMW.
What are the best and worst things about working in Law?
The best part of working in Law is being able to put a client's mind at ease and knowing you've helped to provide them with a solution to their legal issues.
Another aspect which I enjoy about working in Law is having the opportunity to learn about different areas which are really useful to know in everyday life, such as parking which I'm dealing with in my current role, and insurance which I learnt a lot about in my previous job.
For me, the worst thing about working in Law would be when you aren't able to help a client achieve the outcome they wanted for reasons outside of your control.
If you didn't work in Law what would you do?
I'd like to write books or films I'm always getting ideas but I never have enough time to write them down!
Where's your favourite place in Manchester?
I have recently moved to Chorlton and discovered the Laundrette (a restaurant!) really good food and drinks.
What's your favourite film?
What's the first album you bought?
Embarrassingly it was probably the Spice Girls.
What one item would you take with you to a desert island?
Country pub or city bar?
You've been kidnapped. Which TV show characters would you want to come and rescue you?
Deryl and Rick from the Walking Dead.
Question from Krista Enziano: What is your favourite hobby?
What question would you ask the next person undertaking this Q&A?
Which actor would play you in a film about your life?
Thanks for taking part Lizzie! We enjoy hearing from new starters to learn more about our new team member. See the full blog series here.
