Emily joined JMW in August 2019, working as a Paralegal in the firm’s Manchester office and assisting fee earners on a broad range of commercial disputes. In October 2020, Emily moved to the firm’s London office, where she worked as a Commercial Litigation Paralegal, primarily assisting the team specialising in residential property litigation. In September 2021, Emily commenced her training contract with JMW.
Emily graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Law. She subsequently went on to complete the LPC, opting to turn her qualification into a Master’s degree, and ultimately received a Distinction.
Whilst completing her studies, Emily spent three years undertaking pro-bono work on behalf of the Miscarriages of Justice Review Centre, representing five clients who had been convicted of serious crimes but were maintaining their innocence.
In Emily’s free time, she enjoys travelling and spent five months backpacking across Australia and New Zealand. She also enjoys keeping fit and socialising with friends.
