The Covid Vaccine and the workplace

Thursday, 18 February, 2021 - 10:00am
Online

Following the good news that the Covid vaccine is effective and the government’s promise to continue to roll this out on a huge scale, many will be looking forward to a return to the new normal. However, employers will need to consider how they deal with a myriad of issues surrounding their workforce and their views on the vaccine. Issues include wanting to ensure staff do have the vaccine; dealing with the practicalities of some members of the work force having access to it earlier than others and some employees not wanting it at all; fielding questions from employees and hearing grievances and disciplinaries which may relate to issues raised in respect of the vaccine, there is much for employers to consider and prepare for.

In this webinar, we will provide guidance on some of the key issues and considerations employers might face in the coming months when dealing with workplace issues relating to the pandemic and the vaccine. We will discuss issues around requiring staff to have the vaccine; allowing those who have not had the vaccine to return to the office and navigating issues of discrimination linked to the vaccine. We will provide our top tips for handling these issues, as well as providing an insight into some of the pitfalls which you should watch out for.

There will be an opportunity for attendees to engage in a Q&A session with the hosts at the end.

The format of the event will be: -
10.00am - Start followed by Q&A
11am - Webinar finish

The Zoom joining details will be emailed out the day before the webinar once you have registered. Please register by Tuesday 16th February at 12 noon.
