JMW acts for Prenetics to provide coronavirus testing for Premier League players and staff as it gears up for a June resumption of fixtures
The Premier League announced yesterday that its shareholders (the clubs) had given the green light to resuming group training with a view to playing out of the remainder of the Premier League season.
Current testing is being coordinated by a consortium led by Prenetics and supported by TDL (part of Sonic Healthcare Group which is also working with the Bundesliga in Germany. The consortium has a depth of experience in the relevant fields of expertise for COVID-19 testing, both in a clinical and community setting. The consortium is also supported and advised by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Birmingham.
Stephen Taylor Heath, Head of Sport at JMW Solicitors, is representing Prenetics in its commercial arrangements with the members of the consortium and dealings with the Premier League as well as in several other sports.
