In July 2023, Anthony joined JMW as a Costs Lawyer before being appointed to the role of Costs Manager. Anthony is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the in-house Costs Team and ensuring the best interests of our clients are well-represented in respect of all matters pertaining to legal costs.
Anthony has worked in the costs litigation practice area since 2012, qualifying as a Costs Lawyer in 2019 and has since qualified as Chartered Legal Executive Litigator (Civil). Anthony is also a certified Legal Project Practitioner and holds accreditation with the Costs Lawyer Standards Board to deliver CPD training to other legal professionals.
Anthony has demonstrable experience of conducting costs litigation on a ‘cradle to grave’ basis within the fields of catastrophic injury, medical negligence, civil liberties, and general civil litigation. His work encompasses the following:
- Advisory – providing advice in relation to costs issues that can arise during the substantive litigation.
- Preparation of Bill of Costs and conducting negotiations.
- Undertaking the full spectrum of costs management work, from preparation of initial costs budget through to attendance at CCMC, budget audits and subsequent revisions.
- Interlocutory applications in relation to legal costs.
- Advocacy on paper or at Court.
