Billy joined JMW in January 2023 as a paralegal in the Real Estate Finance Team, before starting his Training Contract with the firm in September 2025.

As a paralegal, Billy gained a diverse range of experience in acting for various lenders taking security against property, and in the recovery of distressed loans secured against property including through fixed charge receiverships, administrations, and liquidations.

Billy has subsequently moved teams as part of his Training Contract and currently sits within the Commercial Litigation Team.

Prior to joining JMW, Billy graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in Law and later obtained a Distinction in his Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law (Manchester).

Outside of professional life, Billy enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, and getting outdoors hiking and wild swimming (the colder, the better!).
