Hayley acts on behalf of both businesses and individuals across a broad range of commercial disputes, providing strategic, pragmatic advice tailored to her client's commercial objectives.

Hayley's experience includes advising on a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters including shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, claims for breach of directors' duties, warranty claims, and breach of restrictive covenants. She regularly assists clients in navigating contentious issues, whether through negotiated settlements, alternative dispute resolution, or formal court proceedings.

She also has experience in obtaining and responding to applications for injunctive relief and High Court Search and Seize Orders, acting swiftly where urgent court intervention is required.

Hayley graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 and completed the LPC at the College of Law, Manchester in 2012/13. I trained at a high street firm in Buxton before joining JMW on qualification.

Hayley assists and independently manages large, complex litigation matters including:

• Acting on behalf of minority shareholders in circumstances where they have been excluded from the management of the business, or where the majority shareholder has been notified of such a claim.
• Bringing claims for breach of warranty on behalf of purchasers of a business post-acquisition.
• Bringing and defending claims for breach of contract in a variety of commercial contexts including wrongful termination, unpaid sums due under the contract, interpretation of clauses, battle of the forms. I act for one of the largest car parking companies in England and Wales and deal with all of their breach of contract claims.
• Dealing with claims involving allegations of fraud, conspiracy to defraud and corruption.
• Acting on behalf of businesses and individuals involving allegations of breach of restrictive covenants and the taking of commercially sensitive and confidential information.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys making the most of her free time (albeit limited with a small child!) by discovering great food and wine. She tries to maintain an active lifestyle by attending the gym and playing netball for her local team. Hayley is keen to support charitable causes and enjoys taking on fundraising challenges, including the National and Yorkshire Three Peaks challenges. She has grown up in and around motorsport a can often be found at the side of a racetrack or watching it on the TV.
