Janet joined JMW in September 2021. She originally qualified as a Civil Engineer and worked as a site manager for a number of national contractors before re-qualifying as a lawyer specialising in construction law. Prior to joining JMW Janet spent several years working in the construction law departments of several international law firms.
Janet is highly experienced in advising upon all aspects of construction law, ranging from the procurement of a construction project to resolving disputes arising from construction contracts. Her approach to advising clients is influenced by her unique combination of being dual qualified as an engineer and a lawyer. Hence, she balances providing legal advice with adopting a commercial pragmatism to seek the best solutions for her clients.
Outside of the office Janet enjoys spending time with family and dabbling in property renovation.
