Jennifer has a wealth of experience in pensions administration, having worked for one of the largest local government pension schemes in the UK for several years before moving to focus on pensions law in 2020.

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2024, Jennifer has now honed her specialism further. Jennifer works with pension scheme trustees, sponsoring employers, and individuals.

  • Employers - Jennifer can advise sponsoring employers of pension schemes on how to comply with their automatic enrolment duties, including how to remedy any instances of non-compliance. Pensions are also an important consideration during commercial transactions, as failure to identify historic liabilities or instances of non-compliance can have significant effects on the financial liabilities.
  • Trustees - Trustees play a pivotal role in the effective governance of an occupational pension scheme. It is important that trustees understand their duties and maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding to properly carry out their role. Jennifer can advise trustees on their responsibilities under the pension scheme rules and legislation. As schemes mature and trustees look to explore de-risking strategies, such as buy-in/buy-out, Jennifer can advise on scheme rules, benefit specifications, and winding-up.
  • Individuals - Pensions are an important provision for an individual's retirement, but sometimes things go wrong. We can help you to understand your rights and deal with disputes on your behalf. We can provide advice you can understand, with no jargon, to help you resolve any issues.
