He advises clients across all industrial sectors and, as a former trade union officer, has built up a niche practice area in advising trade union clients, both employers and trustees of trade union sponsored scheme.
He has particular experience and expertise in advising and supporting trustees and employers on scheme mergers, solvent restructuring and flexible apportionment arrangements. In supporting individuals, Julian is experienced at resolving disputes relating to Self-invested personal pensions (SIPP) and small self-administered scheme (SSAS).
Julian works closely with corporate and commercial colleagues in providing transactional support on auto-enrolment compliance, advising on transferring pension liabilities, warranties and indemnities.
