Julian is an accomplished property lawyer and Partner in JMW’s Real Estate Residential team. Property Investment

Julian boasts a breadth of experience in real estate investment, specialising in portfolio acquisitions and disposals of residential and mixed-use schemes. His notable deals showcase a strategic approach to transactions, with a focus on maximising value for clients.

Among his projects, Julian spearheaded the purchase of a multi-unit mixed-use scheme, containing residential flats with ground-floor retail units in a prominent area of Greater Manchester.

Residential Development

Julian’s dedicated development expertise extends nationwide, catering to a diverse clientele that includes SME residential property developers and land promotors engaged in acquiring both greenfield and brownfield sites. Julian handles various complex development transactions, guiding his clients through the intricacies of site acquisitions and disposals. Combining a commercial approach on each deal with a focused attention to detail, he ensures that each transaction aligns with the strategic goals of his clients on a site development project.

Notable transactions include the acquisition and onward sale of a number of Grade II Listed offices converted into residential units and a vacant hotel acquisition for redevelopment into residential accommodation.

Property Finance

Julian is well-versed in real estate finance matters, actively assisting property investors and brokers in portfolio refinances and re-structures. His comprehensive understanding of the legal and financial aspects of real estate investment establishes him as a trusted advisor to investors, brokers and lenders in the dynamic landscape of real estate finance.

Among his recent deals, Julian successfully orchestrated the refinance of a substantial House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) portfolio, representing a well-established property investor. Additionally, Julian led a project in securing development finance for a greenfield residential development project situated on the outskirts of a rural area of the North West.
