Lucy joined JMW in 2022 as a Paralegal in the Court of Protection Department and qualified as a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team in September 2025.

Lucy graduated from Newcastle University in 2020 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Law, and she went on to achieve a Distinction upon completing her Legal Practice Course with the University of Law. After successfully completing her exams, Lucy moved to Rome to work as an au pair and English teacher and experienced a solo travel trip around South America before joining JMW.

Prior to her qualification, Lucy trained in JMW’s Clinical Negligence, Business Crime and Regulation, Family, Property and Commercial Litigation departments.

Lucy has a wide range of experience in both property and commercial disputes, including:

  • Construction disputes
  • Consumer Rights disputes

Lucy is a dedicated and dependable solicitor who understands the need to attempt to engage and negotiate at the pre-action stage when appropriate, to mitigate the risk and costs incurred by her clients. Lucy’s empathic nature helps her to provide excellent client care and a personal approach. She ensures that her clients are regularly updated on their matters to enable them to make informed decisions.

Interests

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys travelling and trying out new recipes and restaurants. She also has a keen interest in volunteering and is part of JMW’s Aspire committee, often getting involved with JMW’s volunteering opportunities.  

Memberships

Lucy is a member of the Law Society and acts as a mentor to provide support to students starting their legal career through the University of Law Mentoring Scheme.
