Lucy joined JMW in 2025 and is a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team.

Lucy specialises in all areas of commercial litigation and has experience advising in a wide range of commercial disputes from both a contentious and non-contentious standpoint.

Prior to joining JMW, Lucy completed her training at an international insurance law firm spending time in Commercial Disputes, Regulatory, Property and Data Risk departments, where she gained experience in a wide range of matters.

Lucy is passionate about providing commercially focused and practical solutions and advice to clients.

Some examples of matters on which Lucy has worked on, and assisted with include:

  • Assisting in advising clients in relation to breaches of contract in relation to payment terms and termination.
  • Assisting in advising a law firm in relation to a large-scale investigation undertaken by the SRA into the actions of senior individuals.
  • Advising a range of corporate clients as to their data protection obligations, including the drafting of data protection and privacy policies.
  • Assisting in supporting clients through the process of responding to large-scale data breaches, often with cross-border elements.  
  • Assisting in advising clients in relation to alleged breaches of financial agreements.  
  • Advising and acting for clients in negligence claims arising out of large-scale property damage.
  • Assisting in advising clients in the recruitment industry in relation to restrictive covenant breaches by former employees, including assisting in acting for clients at mediation.

Lucy attended the University of Liverpool, graduating with a 2:1 in Law and completed her LPC at BPP with a Distinction. 

Outside of work, Lucy is a keen sportsperson and plays netball competitively, as well as being an avid runner. Lucy enjoys continuing her education, and has recently begun her postgraduate certificate in Sports Law, as well as developing her language skills by undertaking Greek language tuition.
