Maymuna joined JMW in June 2023 as a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence department and thereafter commenced her training contract for qualification as a Solicitor in September 2025.

Maymuna provides day to day assistance to two Partners and one Senior Associate in the department on a wide spectrum of cases, including but not limited to:

• Birth injury
• Spinal injury
• Inquests
• Amputation cases
• Delayed diagnosis of various medical conditions

Maymuna also volunteers as a Helpline Adviser from AvMA ( Action Against Medical Accidents)

Prior to joining JMW, Maymuna worked in Residential Conveyancing. She was involved at the inception stage of Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases.

Maymuna graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First-Class Law Degree, continuing her studies on completion with an LLM (Masters in Law) and also successful completion of the LPC (Legal Practice Course). 

Outside of work, Maymuna enjoys travelling and was fortunate enough to visit the Serengeti and go on safari this year. At weekends, she volunteers as a teacher at a local supplementary school. She is an avid baker and has organised multiple bake sales to raise money for various charities. She also enjoys playing badminton and going for bike rides (when the weather permits).
