Rhys joined JWM as a Solicitor in the employment team of the Manchester office in March 2026.
Rhys studied undergraduate Law at the University of Plymouth and graduated with a first-class honours, before completing his MSc in Law and Business Management and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, where he achieved a distinction grade.
Rhys qualified as a Solicitor in March 2025 and has experience acting for both employers and employees on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. His experience includes:
- Advising employers or HR enquiries and processes, including redundancy, sickness absence, and disciplinary and grievance procedures;
- Drafting, reviewing and advising on contract of employment, workplace policies and settlement agreements; and
- Supporting employers and employees throughout Employment Tribunal Claims and the ACAS Early Conciliation process.
Before joining JMW and relocating to Manchester, Rhys trained and practised at a law firm based in Plymouth, where he gained experience in the employment team and worked closely with a number of large national Multi Academy Trusts and other clients across a variety of sectors.
Outside of work, Rhys likes to travel regularly, having currently visited 13 countries, and going to concerts and gigs with his friends.
