Thomas joined JMW in 2013 and has assisted in the significant growth of JMW’s Real Estate offering whilst continuing to build his reputation and client base. He heads the Real Estate Commercial department and is a Board member of JMW.
He is a firm believer in the power of making worthwhile connections and seeking to understand how best to link these people to create new opportunities for both established clients, contacts and referrers alike.
In Legal 500 Thomas is described as “particularly diligent, hardworking and approachable; his work ethic is second to none.” And “his proactive approach is highlighted by his flexible approach in terms of looking for solutions to problems, availability and being willing to pick up a telephone to other solicitors to accelerate the process”

He regularly attends key property events as well as leading JMW’s delegations to MIPIM and UKREiiF to maintain a weather eye on the market. He is often invited to provide commentary or sit on panels tackling trends and state of the market. He uses these events to provide updates and introductions to his clients and contacts.
In April 2020 Thomas created and continues to chair a Real Estate ‘round table Forum’ with clients, contacts and professionals alike across a variety of sectors within Real Estate..

Thomas specialises in Real Estate Development in the following sectors:
Thomas acts for developers, who source, design, fund and contract innovative residential, primary healthcare and nursing home developments throughout the UK and other healthcare developers. He also has significant experience of acting on the operators side on healthcare schemes. To date he has advised on new-build care-home projects to create more than 3,500 new residential care beds across the UK.
In the residential sector Thomas’ clients include: Blueoak Estates, Lingar Group and Whitecroft Group with a variety of schemes across the northwest and further afield he acts for a number of Far East and offshore (Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man) investors who acquire large scale residential and commercial portfolios, some of which are undertaken by overarching agreements.
With the continued growth of the Social Housing Sector, Thomas leads the team acting for HSPG as well as for registered providers on their affordable and social housing requirements.
Thomas has delivered over 80 C-store and PFS developments.
With his long-standing clients Thomas has forged a quasi 'in-house role' maintaining strong working relationships with the key decision makers in the businesses.
Thomas has been a key player in JMW’s continued expansion having project managed new offices in Manchester as well as JMW’s Liverpool and London office projects, giving him a good empathy of being client side and the demands of delivering a project on budget and to a deadline. Delivering and project managing for JMW in the last 4 years design and fits outs of over 35,000 ft sq of new office space for the firm’s continued expansion

Thomas was educated and grew up in Guernsey, he speaks fluent French and has a French Law qualification from Bordeaux University.
Outside of work Thomas is a father of five, enjoys cooking and baking and is a keen sportsman: rugby, cricket and golf. He also enjoys getting out on either his paddle board or wakeboard whenever time permits to learn and perfect new aerial tricks!
