Tom is a Senior Associate advising across a wide range of commercial and residential property disputes. He is a member of the PLA and sits on the Manchester’s Business and Property Court’s Property sub-forum.

Tom is the primary lead for litigation involving disputed business rates, council tax and statutory lease extensions. His practice also includes; advising on strategies for securing vacant possession of properties, dealing with properties within the context of contested probate disputes, trust disputes, lease renewals, forfeiture, trespass, and other complex landlord and tenant disputes. Tom acts for high profile footballers, breweries, private companies and proprietors of large property portfolios. He is experienced in taking complicated matters to the High Court, and has successfully resolved a residential possession claim, described by Counsel as “one of the most complicated cases I have ever had to consider.” Tom also acted for a large property developer, successfully securing an order for specific performance in relation to a £4.25m contract for the sale of land. Tom builds close relationships with his clients, working with them to identify commercially savvy methods of bringing about swift resolutions.
