Travis joined JMW in 2021 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified into the non-contentious limb of the Private Wealth Department in 2023. He successfully passed the Diploma in administration of trusts and estates with Distinction in 2025, becoming a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Travis has experience in a wide range of Private Client matters including:
- Administration of complex and taxable estates, with experience with ‘Grant on Credit’ applications and claims for Agricultural Relief and Business Relief.
- Administration of non-taxable estates, whether testate or intestate.
- Simple and complex will structures, with the objectives of succession planning and asset protection in mind.
- Declarations of Trust, most often concerning the protection of contributions to the purchase (and the maintenance costs) of a property.
- Lifetime estate planning, with the objective of mitigating one’s exposure to Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax.
- Trust formation and administration, with the objectives of asset protection and management, tax planning and inter-generational wealth planning in mind.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney, often acting as Certificate Provider to certify capacity.
Prior to joining JMW, Travis graduated from the University of Law (Manchester) with a First Class Honours in his LLB in 2020. He went on to achieve a Distinction in his LPC with Masters in Law.
