Commercial Litigation

Nathan joined JMW in September 2015 as a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation Department.

Nathan handles a broad range of commercial disputes on behalf of both businesses and private individuals. Particular examples of his experience include:

  • Property litigation – particularly: landlord and tenant disputes, rent & service charge arrears, forfeiture/possession claims, squatters and right of way and boundary disputes.
  • Breach of Contract claims for both Claimants and Defendants on a range of contractual disputes. This includes the recent successful recovery of unpaid commissions triggered prior to the termination of a contractor.
  • Professional negligence claims – successfully acted for an individual to recover substantial damages in a negligence claim against a surveyor.
  • Construction and Building Works disputes.

Graduated from Keele University with a law degree in 2009 and completed his LPC at Staffordshire University Law School in 2011. Whilst undertaking his LPC Nathan received the Outstanding Student for Business Law and Practice award. After Law School Nathan held a paralegal role in Commercial Litigation before securing a training contract.

Outside of the office Nathan is a keen on a number of sports but particularly table tennis. After playing at a national standard as a junior he now competes in local leagues. Outside of sports Nathan enjoys reading and travelling.
