Rachelle joined JMW in July 2020 as a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation Department.

Rachelle’s work involves general commercial and contractual disputes, and she has experience of dealing with large complex cases such as unfair prejudice petitions, professional negligence, unlawful means conspiracy, partnership disputes, contested winding up petitions, enforcement of restrictive covenants, breach of contract and breach of warranty claims.

Rachelle has also represented companies specialising in recruitment in relation to springboard injunctions and acted for parties on both sides which are subject to allegations of misuse of confidential information.

Significant work highlights include acting:

  • for the Applicant in a springboard injunction relating to the retention of LinkedIn contacts - Clayton Recruitment Ltd v James Wilson [2022] EWHC 1054 (Ch)
  • for the Respondent in a breach of restrictive covenant injunction
  • for the Applicant in a Part 18 Request for Further Information contested application – Fairclough v TOSI and 99 Hippos Limited [2022] EWHC 2714 (Ch)
  • for an individual in respect of a complex unfair prejudice claim consisting of three petitions which was concluded at trial.

Following a recent trial Counsel described Rachelle as being “tactically astute” and that her “attention to detail goes without saying”.

Rachelle graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Law in 2014. She went on to work as a Paralegal for a national firm, and then gained a Distinction whilst completing the LPC part-time at the University of Law.

Rachelle is a keen swimmer, and is a volunteer swimming referee in her spare time. Rachelle loves to travel and explore new places, as well as socialising with friends.
