Jodie is a partner in the clinical negligence department. She is accredited by the Law Society’s specialist panel for clinical negligence and has experience of dealing with a wide-range of clinical negligence matters including:

  • Spinal injuries, particularly cauda equina syndrome
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Stillbirth and neonatal death
  • Delay in diagnosis of cancer
  • Vision loss
  • Meningitis
  • Fatal claims
  • Fractures
  • Bowel and bladder damage

Jodie’s caseload is now primarily made up of complex brain and spinal injury cases and in 2023 she obtained £2.85 million in compensation for a man whose life had been devastated by a delay in diagnosing cauda equina syndrome.

Brain injury charity Peeps HIE appointed Jodie to their professional panel in September 2022 due to her support in the shape of advice and fundraising, which included organising a team from JMW to take part in the Manchester 10K. In 2023 Jodie was appointed to the newly formed Peeps legal panel.

Graduating from the University of Durham with a law degree in 2007, Jodie completed her LPC at the College of Law in Chester in 2009. She trained and qualified at Pannone LLP, before it was taken over by Slater & Gordon, where she worked until joining JMW in August 2017.

In her spare time, Jodie enjoys watching rugby league and is an avid supporter of Warrington Wolves. She is also a keen traveller and enjoys attending music festivals.
