Rebecca Schofield



Rebecca is a Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence Department.   She has her own portfolio of varied clinical negligence claims, including, delays in diagnosing cancer, avoidable stillbirths, fatal claims and surgical errors.  She also supports Partners, Sally Leonards and Melissa Gardner with their caseloads, and has extensive experience assisting on high value cerebral palsy and brain and spinal injury claims.

Rebecca has a wealth of experience working in clinical negligence.  She joined JMW as a Paralegal in the department in March 2016, having previously worked in the Clinical Negligence Department at Pannone/Slater and Gordon for three years.  She then went on to complete her Training Contract here, before qualifying in March 2018. 

Rebecca graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA Honours degree in Law and Criminology.  She went on to study at The College of Law in Chester and completed her GDL and LPC, for which she gained a Distinction.  Whilst undergoing her studies, Rebecca was involved in various pro-bono programmes and volunteered as a Special Constable for Merseyside Police.  

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys horse riding, cooking for friends and long walks with her dog, Peggi.
