Rebecca Schofield

Trainee Solicitor


Rebecca joined JMW in March 2016 as a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence Department and assists Partners Sally Leonards and Melissa Gardner with their caseloads.  She commenced her Training Contract in September 2016. 

Rebecca has several years’ of experience working in Clinical Negligence litigation and assists on complex, high value brain and spinal injury cases. 

Rebecca joined JMW having previously worked in the Clinical Negligence Department at Slater and Gordon, where she had her own caseload of varied clinical negligence claims, including claims for delayed diagnosis, surgical errors and poor pressure sore care. 

Rebecca graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA Honours degree in Law and Criminology.  She then went on to study at The College of Law in Chester and completed her GDL and LPC, for which she gained a Distinction.  Whilst undertaking her studies, Rebecca was involved in various pro-bono programmes and volunteered as a Special Constable for Merseyside Police.  

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys horse riding, cooking for friends and long walks with her dog.
