Dementia Friends

18th May 2016 Court of Protection

Talking about dementia is so important, not only for sufferers but also the people around them. This dementia awareness week, our team share why it's important that they are 'Dementia Friends'.

Learn more about dementia friends, an initiative by Alzheimer's UK but in their own words:

'A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action - anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend. Whether you attend a face-to-face Dementia Friends Information Session or watch our online video, Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about Dementia Friends to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts.'

At JMW we passionately believe being a dementia friend enables our team to fully understand and help with client needs. It's essential our team can build up a strong relationship with clients and careers and put their full needs at the forefront of the work being undertaken.

If you would like more information on how our team became dementia friends please do not hesitate to get in touch.
