Partner Manchester Court of Protection
Ged is one of the founding partners of JMW Solicitors, of Spinningfields, Manchester, of which he has been a partner since 1978.
He is Head of the Court of Protection Division of JMW. His work includes handling as Property & Affairs Deputy many high profile multi-million pound matters, often involving brain damage or other catastrophic injury, usually resulting from significant clinical negligence or road traffic accident settlements. His specialism also includes the property aspects of those cases, including development and adaption. He is also a Trustee of a large number of sizeable Personal Injury Trusts.
A well known and popular figure in Manchester legal circles, Ged has a wide variety of experience in many aspects of legal practice, including advocacy. His friendly, caring approach, combined with his wealth of experience has ensured a substantial and loyal client following built up over many years.
Born in 1947 in Manchester, and proud to have been one of 12 children, Ged was Educated at Xaverian College, Manchester.
The Legal 500, an independent guide to the legal professional, comment that Ged, a Court of Protection Deputy, provides ‘excellent service and prompt action'.
